This is a new and exciting mental health offer for the people of Derby City in line with the Community Mental Health Framework.
You'll be working alongside experienced Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Peer Workers and Wellbeing Coaches, in a multi-agency team, who offer short term interventions.
You bring: compassion, innovation, fun, a caring attitude, a desire to help people be their best selves, invaluable nursing skills and a strong sense to collaborate with people.

You must hold a Mental Health professional qualification, applied knowledge & training in strategies to support individuals to manage their difficulties.
We would welcome informal visits with prior arrangement to meet our team. 
Main duties of the job

Provide a caring and compassionate service with clear boundaries and expectations
Complete initial conversations to help people plan what they need
Hold a case load of people with deteriorating/fluctuating mental health problems and work alongside them to help achieve their goals
Discuss initial enquires with anyone in the system
"Do” safeguarding - it's everybody's business. 
Consider capacity and choice in every contact
Attend Living Well Team meeting structure – Relative to WTE
Demonstrate post registration experience with a thirst for something different
Be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to other staff and students.
You will need to have the ability to transport yourself and service users across a wide geographical area without compromising service needs.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
 16. NMC registered Mental Health Nurse
 17. Degree/ Diploma in Nursing or equivalent experience
 18. Membership of a nursing professional body and / or special interest group
Desirable criteria
 19. ENB/Mentoring in Practice
Skills
Essential criteria
 20. Team working evidence
 21. Evidence of excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills
Knowledge/ Experience
Essential criteria
 22. Relevant recent, post graduate experience (usually 2 + years)
 23. Experience of working with people who have severe and enduring needs
 24. Experience of supervising staff and students
 25. Experience of audit, research and clinical governance procedures and their application in practice
 26. Knowledge and application of theoretical models of practice (Recovery model)
 27. High level understanding of Mental Health disorders and treatment models
 28. Detailed knowledge of legislation relevant to Mental Health and Specialist practice where appropriate
 29. Extensive knowledge of the principles of Safety planning
 30. Knowledge and application of Nursing assessments and interventions and outcome measures, relevant to client group (Eg: DBT, CBT, MBCT, Psychologically informed interventions)
