Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options for fewer hours (minimum 12). Shifts are scheduled with 3 weeks' notice within your available times. We support flexibility and welcome your application even if your availability doesn't match exactly.
As the face of Tesco on the road, you'll deliver to customers' homes, providing excellent service with a smile. This role involves driving, helping customers, and handling deliveries with care.
You will be responsible for:
* Keeping the van and trays clean and organized
* Maintaining the delivery area tidy and picking up litter
* Washing trays as needed
* Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness
* Communicating with customers about order changes and substitutions
* Delivering during the scheduled time slots
* Calling customers before early arrivals or if late
You will need:
* Build good relationships with colleagues
* Be warm and welcoming to customers and colleagues
* Respond quickly to customer needs and embrace change
* Be energetic and driven to exceed expectations
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving license (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
