We arecurrently recruiting 2 full time Band 2 Healthcare Support Workers to be partof our team at Pershore Community Hospital, which has an inpatient ward with 26beds. The candidate will work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) toachieve specific rehabilitation goals. PershoreCommunity Hospital plays a critical role in the delivery of local NHS services,providing more care and treatment closer to peoples homes. Emphasis is toreduce length of stay whilst ensuring excellent care which is safe, effective,personalised and compassionate and to the standards you would expect for yourfamily and friends.

Assist withadmitting patients to the ward and the care of their relatives
Carry outdelegated nursing care
Act as health
Provide safeand effective care
Assistpatients with attending to the activities of daily living and support thetherapy team with the rehabilitation of the patient.
Serveand prepare meals/breakfast and drinks, help to assist patients when required. e food diaries and fluid balance charts.
Assistpatients with morning personal care and dressing.
Liaisewith nursing staff for information regarding Observations, catheters, labsamples, blood sugar monitoring, dressings and further health checks.
Assistto support patients to bed/ attach catheter night bags when required.

A good standard of general education to GCSE level and will be expected to undertake the relevant Level 2 qualification on appointment to post
Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust
Willingness to undertake further training
