Plant Operator - Permanent - Near Maldon, own transport essential
Pay: £12.21 per hour, overtime available
Are you experienced operating machinery and looking for a hands on, full time outdoor role? We are seeking a safety conscious individual to join a professional operation as a Plant Operator. You do not need previous experience in this type of role as full training will be given, but you must have experience operating machinery such as a forklift or other heavy equipment where health and safety was critical. Full training will be provided on the plant machinery you will operate.
What You Will Do
* Operate plant machinery safely and efficiently
* Perform daily safety checks and basic maintenance on equipment
* Support ongoing operations and other machinery duties as required
* Train new employees in safe machinery operation when needed
* Follow established safety programs and contribute to a team focused work environment
Who We Are Looking For
* Experience operating machinery such as a forklift or other equipment where health and safety awareness was essential
* Willingness to be trained on specific plant machinery
* Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Positive, proactive can do attitude
Hours and Additional Information
* Monday to Thursday 7 am to 7 pm, Friday 7 am to 3 pm
* Winter hours may be shorter due to daylight availability
* One hour unpaid break per day
* 22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
* Personal protective equipment must be used at all times
* Random drug and alcohol testing, candidates must pass
