Clinical Manager - Nursing Home Location: Southend-on-Sea area Salary: £55,000 per annum Hours: 40 per week, Monday-Friday Contract: Permanent Service Size: Up to 20 residents About the Service A high-quality nursing home providing care and support for younger adults with learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities. The service delivers person-centred, clinically led support in a safe and compassionate environment, focusing on independence, rehabilitation, and quality of life. The home is well established, fully compliant, and supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team committed to continuous improvement and exceptional clinical care. The Role We are seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to oversee all aspects of clinical governance and care delivery within this specialist service. You will play a key leadership role, ensuring clinical excellence, staff development, and compliance with CQC standards, while promoting a positive, person-centred culture across the home. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor the nursing and care team. Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based clinical practice. Oversee medication management, risk assessments, and care planning. Maintain full CQC compliance and clinical audit standards. Support recruitment, training, and supervision of clinical staff. Work collaboratively with residents, families, and external professionals. About You Valid NMC PIN and CQC registration (or eligibility to register). Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willing to work towards). Strong leadership and clinical management experience in a nursing home or similar setting. Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practice. Excellent communication, organisation, and decision-making skills. Passionate about improving outcomes and delivering high-quality care. Working Pattern 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Occasional flexibility to meet service needs.
