Job title : Treasury and Investment Manager Location: London (Hybrid) Employee status : Permanent Purpose of the role To oversee the successful running of the AEGIS London Treasury and Investment team, ensuring effective management across Treasury, Accounts Payable, and all investment activities with the external investment adviser and group investment team. Management of the annual asset allocation strategy in conjunction with the external strategic investment adviser. Execution and effective oversight of all investment outsource services, investment monitoring, governance and controls. Ensure compliance with internal risk monitoring and all regulatory requirements. Duties and accountabilities Manage Treasury and Accounts Payable in a timely and efficient manner. Build a strong relationship with the external strategic investment adviser and relevant fund managers. Ensure proactive management and effective oversight of all outsourced investment services provided, investment monitoring, governance, and controls, in line with internal policies and procedures. Manage the delivery of the annual asset allocation strategy in conjunction with the external strategic investment adviser, liaise with the group investment team, and risk team for appropriate investment risk modelling and stress / scenario testing. Manage and drive the end-to-end process. Ensure compliance with all regulations including (but not limited to) Lloyd’s trust funds, Lloyd’s Principle 8 (Investments) and Principle 9 (Liquidity), and PRA PPP. Manage the timely review and update of all Treasury and Investment policies and procedures. Ensure a robust controls framework is in place, with treasury and investment risks identified, appropriate controls in place, with regular monitoring and testing. Support the reporting team in the provision of monthly investment / bank reconciliations, and investment accounting and sign off. Support the FP&A team in the planning and forecasting process and analysis of investment results. Manage the production of quarterly investment papers to the Assets and Liabilities Committee and the Board, and other reporting, as required. Continually exploring opportunities to improve processes and controls. Effective team management with focus on performance management. Responsible for 3 FTE. Skills, knowledge and experience The successful candidate will: Clear and well-structured written and verbal communication skills. Builds and maintains good internal and external relationships including the Group investment team and external investment adviser and relevant fund managers. Drives the relationships and related deliverables. Strong organisational and management skills, proactive and driven approach to duties and accountabilities. Qualified accountant with a recognised professional body (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5 years of relevant experience, desirable. US / UK GAAP investment and accounting knowledge across different asset classes. Knowledge of Lloyd's trust fund, Lloyd’s Principle 8 (Investments) and Principle 9 (Liquidity), and PRA PPP. Advanced IT skills including knowledge of MS Office and relevant accounting package. Excellent grasp of risk management as it applies to investments and treasury.
