Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is a nationally dispersed team responsible for regulating more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays will be required.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers; provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.

Working Arrangements
* This is a part-time job share role (22.2 hours per week).
* Flexible working patterns are welcomed for all vacancies.
Other Information
* Some travel and overnight stays may be required as the team is nationally dispersed.
* Interviews will be conducted remotely on Microsoft Teams (week commencing 06 October 2025).
* Location: This is a national role; you can be based at any Environment Agency office.
