This is a full-time, permanent position with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 – 18:00.
We are currently searching for an experienced Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Primark team at our site in Lutterworth. You will lead a team and coordinate activities to achieve business goals by focusing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
* You’ll operate as a working team member and conduct tasks in all areas of the warehouse.
* You’ll ensure that ‘you’ and the team members comply with working practices that result in delivering a clean and safe workplace.
* Providing focus on health & safety, productivity, accuracy, and quality by helping to lead the operational shift team and encouraging a team ethic to achieve daily targets for each shift.
* Monitor progress and performance against key performance indicators and costs against budget.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Knowledge of the end-to-end warehouse processes and health and safety.
* Experience working in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst effectively leading a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
