An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Education and Training Team as Learning and Development Manager.
As an autonomous practitioner have the responsibility for the quality assurance of the management, co-ordination, delivery and evaluation of high quality education and associated learning and development activities across the organisation, ensuring regulatory standards are met.
Applicants must be Band 6 WAST HCPC registered paramedics who hold or willing to work towards the following:
* Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or above
* Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent legacy qualification
* Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice
Main duties of the job
As a Learning and Development Manager the post holder will be required to develop, deliver and quality assure learning programmes including the planning and coordination of any final assessments.
The post holder will provide support and development opportunities for all staff undertaking education programmes.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

In line with the Trust’s Starting Salary Procedure, all applicants will start at the bottom of the band for the position applied for, but can apply for a higher salary if they have previous experience relevant to the position.

* Significant experience and specialist knowledge in ambulance education
* Hold a L4CET or above
* HCPC Registered Paramedic
* IHCD Emergency Ambulance Driving or L3CERAD qualification
* Hold a L4AUIQAAPP
* Hold a L3CAVA

* Confident in developing and supporting staff.
* Experience of carrying out internal assurance activities.
* Experience in clinical supervision, preceptoring and mentorship.
* Experience of standard setting, audit, quality to meet educational governance agenda.
