Job Description
Your new company
New opportunity for a Tax Advisor to join a respected, mid‑sized accountancy practice in the Midlands. This firm offers a mix of varied client work, modern systems, and a genuinely supportive culture. Clients range from owner‑managed businesses to growing regional organisations giving team members exposure to varied, meaningful work across audit, accounts, tax, and advisory. As a Tax Manager, you will have an OMB focus, advising on a range of private client and corporate matters.
Your new role
Working closely with the Tax Director, you'll get involved in a mixture of advisory projects, researching and preparing tax reports on a range of matters for businesses and their owners. This will mean you will gain exposure to a breadth of interesting work which could involve both private client and corporate tax matters or a chance to focus on one area to suit your interests. Projects may include working to support clients with restructuring, succession planning, inheritance tax planning, capital gains advice, renumeration planning, share schemes etc.
What you'll need to succeed
You will possess clear experience working on high-quality tax advisory projects with the ability to produce technically accurate, well-written tax reports. The ideal candidate will be fully CTA qualified. However, the firm would be keen to also consider individuals with relevant accountancy and/or tax qualifications (ACCA/ACA/ATT/part CTA) who have worked with businesses and business owners to support strategic tax planning. Your experience to date may have been more focused on either personal or corporate tax advisory work - this role will allow you to further develop your technical skills and broaden your tax knowledge. The ability to manage multiple projects and work accurately to deadlines will also be key.
What you'll get in return
If you are looking for a tax advisory opportunity with real scope for future progression within a growing, successful firm, this role has a lot to offer. If successful, you will develop your experience, work on interesting, complex tax advisory projects and support a wide variety of clients with different needs. As part of the firm's wider group, you'll be able to access great training and development, learn from specialists and enhance your technical knowledge. You'll work with a supportive and friendly team who reward their team regularly and give recognition for individual achievements.
There's a competitive package available with a range of health, well-being and financial offerings alongside clear professional development opportunities. Hybrid working, flexible hours and an early Friday finish support you to balance work life and personal life.
