Harmonic are delighted to be exclusively supporting a fast-paced and ambitious business within the entertainment sector in their search for a Group Financial Controller.
This is a pivotal role leading the Group Finance function, providing technical excellence, financial governance, and commercial insight in a rapidly evolving environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll play a critical role in driving efficiency, ensuring accuracy in statutory reporting, and supporting the organisation's continued growth trajectory.
You'll lead and develop a small, high-performing team, work closely with stakeholders on strategic projects, and bring rigour to cash management, treasury, and Group-level reporting. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and commercially astute finance leader who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings.
The Role
Responsibilities
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a talented finance team
* Overseeing monthly consolidations and Group-level financial reporting
* Driving accuracy in cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury activities
* Supporting financing and refinancing, including covenant compliance and lender reporting
* Partnering with senior leadership on M&A, refinancing, and other strategic initiatives
* Leading the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements under IFRS
* Acting as primary contact for external auditors, managing statutory audits and compliance filings
* Providing technical guidance on complex accounting matters (revenue recognition, IFRS 16, financial instruments, business combinations, etc.)
* Driving continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and internal controls
* Supporting regulatory and tax compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions
* Ad hoc tasks to support the wider finance function
What We Need to See (Essentials):
* At least 3 years post-qualified (ACA preferred)
* Previous experience in a group-level role
* Demonstrated experience in managing audits and statutory reporting, cash management, and strong technical accounting knowledge
* A passion for the entertainment industry
What We'd Like to See (Bonus):
* Previous experience in the media/entertainment/creative industries

£95,000–£105,000

3 days in office, 2 days work from home
