The RoleAs a Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies, delivering a high standard of accounting and tax services while supporting junior members of the team.
Duties will include:
* Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and tax returns
* Managing a varied portfolio of clients across multiple industries
* Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns and CIS submissions
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members
* Providing clients with tax advice and business support
* Assisting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Dext
* Conducting client meetings and building long-term relationships
* Liaising with HMRC and Companies House regarding client matters
* Supporting onboarding processes for new clients
* Assisting with advisory work including budgeting, cashflow and business planning
Requirements
* ACA / ACCA / AAT / ATT qualified or qualified by experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
* Strong experience preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns
* Confident working with Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
* Good working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Dext and FreeAgent
* Excellent communication and client management skills
* Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation
* Positive and proactive approach with a team-focused attitude
