Job Description
Version 1 is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our UK Public Sector team. This role is ideal for a professional looking for a new challenge and working with large‑scale clients to deliver sales and growth targets while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
Role
* Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction in line with company targets
* Meet account financial targets, growing value of new and existing accounts
* Own Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), ensuring they are effective and drive action completion
* Present Version 1 propositions to customers confidently, both virtually and in person
* Contribute to bid strategies, ensuring all opportunities and bids are fully qualified and viable
Other Responsibilities
* Sustain a pipeline aligned to your customer horizon, shaping plans in line with a rolling 24‑month strategy
* Manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and flag issues outside your expertise
* Obtain publicity including case studies, win wires and press releases
* Collaborate with Delivery, Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations for successful bid, contract and prospect management
* Travel regularly to Version 1 and customer sites across the UK and Ireland to build strong relationships
Qualifications
* Experience in an account management capacity within a sales team or similar role
* Background in IT services, IT consultancy, technology solutions or related industry
* Knowledge or willingness to learn public‑sector tender processes, including government frameworks
* Excellent influencing, communication, and motivating skills at all levels
* Strong competency in completing tenders and internal documentation using Microsoft Office suite
* Proven ability to build solid customer relationships
* Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics
* Capable of working to tight deadlines with effective prioritisation and task management
