Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director - Risk Management to join our busy Scotland Infrastructure Risk team who are supporting a range of high-profile Infrastructure Projects, Programmes and clients. The role will involve supporting the development, management and leadership of our Scotland Infrastructure Risk team in addition to feeding into our national risk management community. Our Risk Management team drives innovation, enhances clients’ integrated controls capability, improves performance and delivers better programme outcomes. We have a growing national team and a strong capability, discipline communities, and varied client base. This role provides opportunities to mentor and shape a talented team and to influence client strategy and market positioning.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead: Manage and delegate activities of the Risk Management team on complex projects or programmes; communicate with senior management and stakeholders to deliver updates.
* Accountable for: Briefing the team on project scope; developing and maintaining leadership relationships with interfacing disciplines; line management including career development and performance management.
* Drive: Continuous improvement in Risk Management processes; implement and embed changes to Risk Management processes.
* Promote: The benefits and requirements of Risk Management within the project and programme team.
* Provide: Subject matter expertise; expert analysis (e.g., QCRA, QSRA) to stakeholders and senior management; training and coaching on Risk Management processes.
* Support: Management of the risk management team and related business operations; recruitment to grow project controls capability; engagement with national and regional Risk Management communities (Community of Practice).

Qualifications

* Tangible experience in managing and delivering Risk Management on complex projects/programmes.
* Experience interfacing with other project disciplines and leading Risk Management teams.
* Practical experience with risk standards (ISO 31000, APM, Orange Book, IPA) and Quantitative Risk Analysis; experience with software (Safran, @Risk, PRA) and risk tools (ARM, Predict!, Risk Controller, riskHive, Xactium).
* Ability to work in both delivery and transformation projects (desirable).
* Familiarity with NEC contracts (desirable).
* Security clearance requirements (desirable).
