Role Overview
The Warehouse Operative plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within a fast-paced FMCG environment. This position is responsible for accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of products to meet customer demand and maintain operational efficiency. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
Working Hours
41.25 hours per week, on a two-weekly rotating shift cycle as follows:
1 - 06:00–14:15 - 13:45–22:00
2 - 13:45–22:00 - 06:00–14:15
Weekend coverage may be required depending on business needs and will be distributed fairly across teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Receiving & Checking: Unload deliveries, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders.
* Stock Management: Organise and store goods safely, maintain accurate inventory records using WMS (Warehouse Management System).
* Order Picking & Packing: Prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct labelling and packaging.
* Dispatch: Load goods onto vehicles for delivery, ensuring compliance with transport and safety regulations.
* Equipment Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if required).
Health & Safety Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK’s health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
* Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly to the Warehouse Manager.
* Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
* Participate in health and safety briefings and training sessions as required.

Requirements
* Previous experience in a warehouse or FMCG environment preferred.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines.
* Basic IT skills for inventory systems.
* Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
* Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
