Job Summary
We are seeking an kind, caring and enthusiastic person to join our friendly, innovative & busy GP practice in the heart of Radcliffe. The position is currently for maternity cover with the potential of a permanent position. The role of a medical administrator is vital to patient care. Closing date: 30 June 2026
Responsibilities
* Greeting patients with a friendly caring manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
* Answering/making telephone calls, emails, text messages.
* Liaising with the team to ensure all administration tasks are completed daily.
* Organising prescription requests.
* Booking and cancelling appointments.
* Promoting services, e.g., NHS app.
* Assisting patients in a kind and caring manner.
* Performing other administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C English and Maths.
Experience
* Experience of working in a medical environment (e.g., pharmacy, GP surgery or with customers/patients).
* Working closely within a team.
* Experience or working with EMIS (desirable).
* Experience of working in a GP practice (desirable).
Eligibility
* Essential: GCSE grade A to C English and Maths.
* Desirable: NVQ, Customer service experience.
