Business Development Executive
Reporting to: Head of Business Development
Location: Wigan / Hybrid ( A minimum 3 days per week on site)
Remuneration: £50,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus + Benefits

Working alongside our Head of BD and with the prestige of Brand 3PL and effective marketing to your advantage you’ll be responsible for new business generation. You’ll achieve this through effective prospecting, nurturing, qualifying, negotiating and closing sales opportunities whilst maintaining an effective CRM and reporting systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
Ø Lead Generation & Prospecting
* Research and identify new business prospects aligned to target criteria using an array of CRM tools at your disposal including databases and social media.
* Qualify leads based on defined criteria (budget, authority, need, timeline).
Ø Prospect Engagement
* Make outbound calls and send emails to warm prospects, and follow up on inbound inquiries to secure appointments and discovery calls.
* Conduct discovery calls via phone or online (SQL) to explore prospect pain points, desired outcomes and present our solutions and indicative pricing subject to alignment.
* Build and maintain long term relationships both as a prospect and as a client.
Ø Sales Pipeline Management
o Maintain accurate and timely records in the HubSpot CRM system.
o Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal.
o Support the sales forecasting process and exceed the budgeted targets.
Ø Negotiation and Closing
* Prepare quotes, proposals, and contracts.
* Handle objections and negotiate pricing or terms.
* Secure commitment and close deals efficiently.
Ø Collaboration
o Work closely with marketing to align on lead quality and campaigns.
o Work closely with operations to align on solution scope, pricing and timing.
o Coordinate with account managers or customer success teams for seamless handovers.
o Share external feedback with internal stakeholders to continually improve our offering.
Ø Reporting & Performance Tracking
* Track activity metrics (calls, emails, demos, conversion rates)
* Analyse sales data to identify trends and improvement areas.
* Report progress to direct report and other stakeholders as applicable
What We’re Looking For
o A minimum 3+ years’ experience in a sales capacity in a fulfilment & logistics environment
o A consultative, solutions-focused sales mindset with the ability to both originate & close.
o A trusted relationship builder that develops deep connections internally and externally
o A proven achiever with a desire to exceed meaningful targets
o Good verbal and written skills with the confidence to engage with key stakeholders
o Experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)
o A collaborative team player with a self-starter attitude
o Possesses a Full UK driving license
With a strong process driven administration background you will be confident, organised and most importantly you’ll enjoy dealing with people with a smile.
