Mechanical Project Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Profit-Related Bonus
Location: Derbyshire (office-based with occasional overseas travel)
Hours: Full-time | Flexi-time available
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion.
* Coordinate multi-disciplined design teams (mechanical, electrical, and production).
* Oversee project strategy, scheduling, budgets, and reporting.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
* Ensure compliance with company standards, safety, and quality expectations.
* Support continuous improvement across manufacturing and engineering processes.
About You
* HNC / Level 4 or above in Engineering (degree desirable).
* PRINCE2, APMP, or other recognised Project Management qualification.
* Experience working on large-scale mechanical, power, or oil & gas projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and workshop machinery.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A second language would be an advantage but not essential.
