Job Overview
The post holder will provide effective operational leadership of Camden MOSAIC, which includes the Child Development Team (CDT), Social Communication Assessment Service (SCAS), MOSAIC CAMHS, Feeding Clinic, Sleep Service, Community Paediatric Dietetics, the Single Point of Referral (SPOR), and the Down Syndrome Pathway. Clinical leads for MOSAIC services are professionally accountable to the relevant Clinical Lead within one of the Partnership Provider organisations.
This post will also provide Service Management to the wheelchair service spanning Camden and Islington.
The post holder will line manage the Camden Children’s Integrated Admin Team Manager and act as the lead for The Mosaic Child Development Team.
On a day-to-day basis, s/he will operate independently in managing the MOSAIC service and work in partnership with Clinical Leads. The post holder will also serve as the Service Manager for The wheelchair service.
Responsibilities include ensuring both services operate effectively, meet KPIs (including national and local targets, finance, activity, HR), and provide excellent care with a family focus. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary and multi-agency collaboration, service development, and care pathway redesign.
Main duties of the job:
1. Provide effective leadership with a clear vision and team buy-in.
2. Ensure services comply with relevant guidelines and policies (e.g., NICE, Children & Families Act 2014).
3. Develop clinical services using evidence-based approaches.
4. Lead and develop the Camden Children’s Admin Team to streamline practice and minimize risks.
5. Work closely with Clinical Leads to maintain clinical quality, undertake joint appraisals, and set objectives.
6. Conduct performance reviews and appraisals for direct reports.
7. Make all decisions related to MOSAIC and the wheelchair service.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities:
* Achieve performance indicators and joint targets with Local Authorities.
* Manage activity and capacity to meet targets and optimize existing resources.
* Report activity metrics to Commissioning and the Head of CYP and Family Services monthly and annually.
* Ensure Health & Safety, Risk Management, and Quality Assurance programs are in place and comply with relevant legislation and policies.
Person specification
Qualifications:
* Registered Therapist or nurse, with post-registration qualification in Paediatrics, OT, Physio, SLT, CAMHS, or other relevant clinical field.
* Degree in Therapy or nursing (with Paediatric experience).
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Clinical teaching or supervision qualification.
Desirable qualifications:
* Working towards MSc/MA relevant to the role.
Knowledge and experience:
* Substantial clinical practice experience.
* Leadership experience, including recruitment, appraisals, and staff development.
* Understanding of governance and risk management.
* High level of professional autonomy and accountability.
* Experience in partnership working, research, and audits.
* Knowledge of legislative and strategic frameworks for children’s services, including SEND.
* Experience in workload prioritization and financial management.
Desirable experience:
* Clinical community therapy experience.
