Deans Civil Engineering part of the RSK Group have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Glasgow, UK. Responsibilities: Commercial Support: Provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Cost Management: Manage the costs of raw materials and construction projects to ensure they remain within budget. This includes quantifying and budgeting costs for various construction works. Liaison: Act as a liaison with customer representatives and other third parties including subcontractors on commercial issues, including but not limited to agreement of variations, claims, and additional payments, and submitting these all to finance in a timely manner. Reporting: Prepare and present monthly reports on project financials, including earned value analysis and cash flow forecasts. Risk Management: Maintain project risk and opportunities schedules, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. Team Leadership: Encourage and support junior members of the commercial team, fostering a collaborative work environment. Team Building - Recruitment and training of staff within the Commercial Department. Qualifications & Experience: To take part in the appropriate training required to carry out the duties of the post, enhance personal development and participate in Deans Civil Engineering’s Risk Assessment procedures.
