Salary: £35,000 - 37,000 per year Requirements: We require proven experience managing and developing IT technicians, including line management, coaching, training, and performance reviews. We require strong technical knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and device management. We require the ability to provide advanced troubleshooting for hardware, software, networking, and cloud services. We require experience supporting project delivery such as device rollouts, network upgrades, and system migrations. We require the ability to act as a second-line technician and resolve escalated technical issues. We require a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites. We require candidates to be able to pass an enhanced DBS check upon joining. We require the ability to work across multiple schools and support service delivery in an education environment. Responsibilities: We line manage, support, and train IT technicians across one or more regions, with up to 5 to 6 direct reports. We conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills development planning for technicians. We ensure consistent service standards and adherence to our IT policies across all schools in the cluster. We provide operational technical support to the region(s) and help maintain business-as-usual activities. We act as a second-line technician for our allocated area and handle escalated technical issues beyond first-line support. We deliver advanced troubleshooting across hardware, software, networking, and cloud services. We support project delivery within our trust, including device rollouts, network upgrades, and system migrations. We coordinate with regional leadership to ensure high-quality IT service delivery and operational excellence. We travel between sites as needed to support schools and technicians in different locations.
