Job Title: Senior Real-World Evidence (RWE) Expert– Contract
Location: UK, Remote
Contract Duration: Initially maternity cover, with potential for extension or reallocation to other internal missions
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior RWE Expert to join a leading pharmaceutical RWE team. The role provides strategic and operational leadership for global RWE initiatives, working cross-functionally with Safety, Evidence Synthesis, RWE Analysts, and other stakeholders. While the therapeutic domain is not disease-specific, experience in dermatology is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute complex RWE studies, including epidemiology, natural history, PASS/PAES, regulatory studies, external control arms, and comparative effectiveness research.
* Develop study concepts, protocols, and SAPs while ensuring governance compliance.
* Interpret study results and communicate insights to internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RWE Analysts, BQS, Safety, Evidence Synthesis, and external vendors.
* Identify opportunities for innovative study designs, new data sources, and advanced analytics.
* Contribute to the functional strategic plan alongside the RWE Strategy Lead.
Must-have Requirements:
* Master’s or PhD in Epidemiology (PhD preferred).
* Strong experience in real-world data and RWE project execution.
* Extensive experience designing and delivering RWE projects in Pharmaceutical
* Strong quantitative and methodological background (epidemiology, biostatistics, pharmacoepidemiology, outcomes research).
* Proven ability to communicate RWE results effectively to diverse stakeholders.
* Experience working cross-functionally and autonomously in a senior role.
* Pharma industry experience strongly preferred.
Ideal Requirements:
* Solid global RWE experience within pharma.
* Skilled in scientific dissemination (abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
* Ability to innovate and propose advanced methodological approaches.
* Confident in challenging and defending methodological choices with stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have:
* Experience in dermatology.
* Familiarity with hybrid study designs, external control arms, or regulatory-driven RWE projects.
