Role Overview
A vacancy has arisen within the Accounts Payable Department, Financial Services, based at Falkirk Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Process transactions on the creditors sub ledger within the financial management system.
* Ensure all suppliers are paid within agreed credit limits and in compliance with NHS Forth Valley Standing Documents, Financial Operating Procedures and the Prompt Payment Policy.
* Maintain, develop and produce financial reports, providing clerical and administrative support to the Accounts Payable Manager and Accounting Services Manager.
* Liaise fully with budget holders to support payment processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Good working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing packages.
* Education to Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) Foundation Level or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent experience in a large organisation’s accounts payable systems function.
Additional Requirements
Successful candidates must complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
Working Hours and Pay
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

NHS Forth Valley may be able to offer sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria. If you are currently working in the UK on a Skilled Worker visa, transitional arrangements may apply. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis following interview and at the commencement of pre‑employment checks.
