We are looking for a commercially-minded AV Hub Assistant to join our Sales Operations team. This role is key to ensuring our campaigns—across both linear and digital platforms—are delivered smoothly, accurately, and in line with agreed terms and available inventory.

Based in our new and vibrant Manchester office, you’ll be at the heart of the action—picking up the phone, building relationships, and spotting exciting sales opportunities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process campaign requests and ensure campaigns are set up, booked and delivered.
2. Ensure spots are scheduled efficiently, in line with deal parameters and in accordance with company and industry guidelines and regulations.
3. Monitor campaigns on a daily basis to ensure deals are delivered and airtime is optimised.
4. Complete turnarounds for agencies in a timely manner.
5. Respond to ongoing agency requests and queries relating to linear and digital airtime.
6. Support AV Executives and others in maintaining agency relationships.
7. Ensure traffic deadlines are met.
8. Run day to day administrative systems and provide procedural support to the rest of the Account Team.
9. Support AV Executives in administering select parameters on Channel 4 and where appropriate, Channel 4’s digital channels, Channel 4’s VOD platform and its third party trading partners.
Technical & Professional Skills
10. An understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, (including Excel up to intermediate standard).
11. Good negotiating and sales skills.
12. Knowledge of the Account Team’s portfolio.
Autonomy/Judgement/Decision Making
13. Must be able to work with little supervision within guidelines.
14. Seeks guidance for problems such as continuing agency conflict, significant changes to campaigns and late sales or problems that fall outside of guidelines.
15. Judgement on placing ads responsibly according to industry regulations and guidelines.
Relationship Management
16. Able to develop good external and internal relationships: it is essential to maintain an open and communicative relationship with all stakeholders.
17. Act as a point of contact for all agency airtime problems and issues: a client-facing role developing and maintaining effective relationships with agencies.
Complexity/Problem Solving
18. Constantly balance customer relationships with maximising the capacity of Channel 4.
19. Resolve day-to-day trading issue with partners, involving the AV Executive, AV Manager, Senior AV Lead and AV Leader if appropriate.
20. Resolve day-to-day internal issues of schedule changes, optimising airtime and creating inventory to allow late sales.
21. Monitor campaigns for accuracy of delivery versus agreed terms; ensures that inventory is optimised with minimal wastage.
22. Time management - able to juggle and prioritise tasks according to strict deadlines.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
23. Experience of working in a sales or customer service environment
24. Excellent numerical ability
25. Intermediate Excel Skills
26. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
27. Highly organised
28. Excellent attention to detail
29. Experience of building relationships quickly
30. Experience of working to deadlines
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
31. Negotiation skills
32. Experience of working within TV/VOD sales
33. Awareness of industry guidelines and regulations (OFCOM, BCAP, Clearcast)
