Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for procurement and leadership? Our client is looking for a Category Manager to lead and grow their procurement services across a key category. You'll manage a team of Buyers and Senior Buyers, develop strategic category plans, and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
What You'll Do:
* Developing and implementing contract management strategies and frameworks to ensure consistency and effectiveness across departments
* Monitoring contract performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), audits, and compliance checks
* Managing supplier relationships, including resolving disputes, enforcing remedies for non-compliance, and ensuring service delivery aligns with expectations
* Collaborating with procurement teams early in the cycle to embed measurable KPIs and ensure contracts are fit for purpose
* Ensuring legal and policy compliance, especially under frameworks like the Procurement Act 2023
What We're Looking For:
1. Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
2. MCIPS qualified with strong procurement expertise.
3. Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
4. Experience in large-scale procurement and public sector procurement regulations.
