Job Title: Children's Social Worker - FDAC Team
Location: Gateshead, UK
Salary: £27 per hour

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Children's Social Worker in the FDAC Team (Family, Drug & Alcohol Court Team) based in Gateshead.
About Us:
The FDAC Team is committed to providing innovative and effective support to families affected by drug and alcohol misuse. We work within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework, utilising the Family, Drug & Alcohol Court model to promote positive outcomes for children and their families.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
2. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies.
3. Providing direct support and interventions to families, including advocacy, counseling, and practical assistance.
4. Facilitating multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to coordinate services and monitor progress.
5. Liaising with external agencies and professionals to ensure coordinated support and seamless transitions for families
Requirements:
6. Registered with Social work England
7. A Degree in Social work or Diploma in SW, CQSW, CSS
8. Right to Work in UK
9. Enhanced DBS check, dated within the last 12 months
10. Minimum of 2 years' experience in children's social care.
11. Knowledge of child development, safeguarding procedures, and relevant legislation.
12. Experience working with children and families, preferably within a child protection or family support setting.
13. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage a complex caseload.
