Overview

Associate Lecturer in Construction Management at UNSW. This Teaching and Research role covers responsibilities of an academic staff member who has been seconded to another role for the duration of the appointment. The position focuses on high-quality teaching and research in construction management, with emphasis on digital technologies, data sciences, and IoT – including BIM, smart infrastructure, and data‑driven decision‑support.


Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality teaching in construction management, with emphasis on digital technologies, data sciences, and IoT.
* Engage in research activities related to construction management and drive innovation in sustainable infrastructure, digital construction technologies, and integrated project delivery methods.
* Contribute to academic service within the School and align with UNSW aims, objectives and values.


Qualifications

* A PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
* Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
* Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
* Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Experience engaging students and fostering independent learning through meaningful assessment and feedback.
* Willingness to undertake professional development of teaching practice.
* Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Ability to undertake high-quality academic research with limited supervision and a track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity.
* Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
* Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of UNSW’s aims, objectives and values, with commitment to health and safety requirements.


Position Details

* Level A, Salary - $113,911 to $121,838 per annum + 17% superannuation
* Full-time
* Fixed-term contract – ASAP start until August 2028
* Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
