Job Title: Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry Grade: Consultant Location: Maidstone, Kent Working Hours: 40 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Maidstone, Kent. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract. Key Responsibilities • Provide specialist psychiatric care for individuals with learning disabilities across inpatient and Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) settings • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for both adults and children • Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development • Offer clinical supervision and support to junior medical staff • Ensure full compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and other relevant legislation Qualifications & Experience • Full GMC registration • Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician (AC) status • Extensive experience in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry, including work with children and in both inpatient and community settings • Proven experience in a Consultant-level role How to Apply If your experience aligns with this role, apply today.
