Who we are!
South Lanarkshire Council delivers a wide range of services that touch all communities and households in South Lanarkshire. Roads, Transportation and Fleet is one of five services within Community and Enterprise Resources, they are responsible for a wide range of services throughout South Lanarkshire, and they are looking for Road Operative Modern Apprentices to join their team.
Becoming a Modern Apprentice will give you the opportunity to develop a career within Community and Enterprise Resources and be trained to the appropriate National Standard through on and off the job training and experience.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for people who can demonstrate a commitment to their own learning, as the successful candidates will be given the opportunity to become a qualified Road Operative. This is achieved through a mixture of on-the-job experience, working alongside qualified/experienced Road Operatives, and off the job experience, at our allocated training provider, gaining the underpinning knowledge required for the position. During your training you will also develop your core and meta skills, naturally through the work you carry out.
What are we offering?
We are offering Road Operative Modern Apprenticeship vacancies in the following Depots:-
Lesmahagow, Carnwath, Hawbank Road in East Kilbride, and Canderside in Larkhall
These opportunities are for trainees and therefore do not require you to have any experience in your chosen field, or qualifications.
