PROJECT MANAGER – WIDEBODY SYSTEMS (FUEL & LANDING GEAR)
* £35 per hour via Umbrella
* Initial contract until November 2026
* 35-hour working week
* High-profile role supporting the Widebody Systems Programme (Fuel & Landing Gear)
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Our client is a world-leading organisation within the aerospace sector, delivering complex aircraft programmes across development, production, and in-service support. Operating in a highly collaborative, international environment, they are currently strengthening their Programme Management capability within the Widebody Systems UK team. As a result, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support critical Fuel and Landing Gear activities.
THE PROJECT MANAGER – WIDEBODY SYSTEMS ROLE
As a Project Manager, you will support a portfolio of projects within the Widebody Systems UK Programme, focusing on Fuel and Landing Gear systems. You will be responsible for delivering agreed work packages to time, cost and quality, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
You will integrate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Services and Chief Engineering teams, ensuring effective coordination, risk management and communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role also includes budget monitoring, reporting, supplier management, and contribution to financial planning activities, ensuring programme objectives and customer expectations are met.
PROJECT MANAGER – ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* Understanding of Aircraft manufacturing is essential
* Knowledge of configuration management toolsets
* Sound technical awareness to understand engineering, design, build and test challenges
* Experience delivering to time, cost and quality objectives
* Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
* Experience coordinating and leading cross-functional teams
* Understanding of budget control and financial reporting
