About the Role
Organised, reliable and passionate about supporting patient care behind the scenes? We are looking for a Clinical Supplies Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our clinical teams have everything they need to deliver safe, effective care. This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to maintain stock levels, manage deliveries and ensure our supplies systems run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all departments are fully stocked to support uninterrupted patient care
* Receive, check and store deliveries accurately and safely
* Maintain clean, organised and compliant storerooms
* Raise purchase orders and manage stock control processes
* Support monthly stock counts and monitor usage
* Deliver supplies across departments in a timely and professional manner
* Handle returned goods and manage credits where required
* Support safe storage and handling of specialist equipment (including oxygen cylinders)
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes and efficiency
* Maintain high standards of infection control, health & safety and cleanliness
Qualifications
* Good basic education (literacy and numeracy)
* At least 1 year of relevant experience (e.g., stores, logistics, healthcare or similar)
* Reliable and proactive, able to work independently
* Well organised with good attention to detail
* Strong communicator who works well as part of a team
* Able to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure
* Friendly, approachable and committed to excellent service
Desired
* Experience in a healthcare or caring environment
* Knowledge of stock control or supplies management
* Awareness of health & safety practices
Working Hours
This role will involve weekend working.
