Key responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality support for three children with differing special educational needs, both individually and in small groups, under the direction of the class teacher.
• Use your initiative to plan and adapt resources and activities that meet children’s learning, social and emotional needs.
• Work independently when required, ensuring each child is fully included and engaged in classroom life.
• Help maintain accurate records of progress, liaise with the class teacher and join in whole-school team meetings and professional development.
• Promote an inclusive, safe, respectful learning environment where all children feel valued and empowered.
Ideal candidate qualities:
• Experience working in SEN/learning support roles, particularly in primary (EYFS to Key Stage 2).
• Confident, proactive and able to flex between independent work and collaborative support.
• Strong communicator, with empathy, patience and a genuine belief in every child’s potential.
• Able to adapt resources and strategies to a variety of needs and learning styles.
• Enthusiastic about being part of a dynamic school community that values innovation, diversity and continuous improvement.
