Primary Teaching Assistant – Year 2 (KS1) – Poole, Dorset Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their early education journey? GSL Education are on the lookout for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work within a Year 2 class (KS1) at a friendly and inclusive primary school in Poole. This exciting full time role is set to commence in September 2025. Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons. Assist pupils with their learning, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports social and emotional development. Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, organised setting. Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials and classroom displays. Support students during non-classroom activities such as assemblies, break times, and school trips. Requirements: Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting, is essential. A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and flexible approach to working as part of a team. Willingness to attend a school tour prior to a formal interview. Availability for interviews taking place in the coming weeks. An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
