Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a fulfilling opportunity in a lively Blackpool primary school? If so, we want to hear from you! We are currently hiring for skilled Teaching Assistants. This role involves providing invaluable support to students in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, aiding in their educational development.
This position presents an exciting chance to join schools across Blackpool as a Teaching Assistant, specifically focusing on Key Stage 2 students. Responsibilities include offering general classroom support. A minimum Level 2 qualification is required for this full-time position, operating five days a week from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience working with Key Stage 2 students, offering personalised support. We seek an individual who demonstrates commitment, reliability, high attendance, and the ability to adapt to student's needs, interests, and preferences. Experience in tailoring content to engage and motivate students is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant involve:
12. Reading, writing and SPAG support.
13. Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding. Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
14. To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
15. To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
16. To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
17. Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
18. To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
19. Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.
Requirements:
20. Possession of an Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to acquire a new one.
21. Eligibility to work in the UK (please note that sponsorship is unavailable for this role).
22. Preferred previous experience in educational settings, particularly schools.
23. Provision of two recent professional references, a vital requirement for consideration.
24. Experience working with young people
25. Class management skills
26. Comfortable managing challenging behaviour
27. Able to engage with and motivate children
