The role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced & motivated Account Executive with a general Commercial background, to join us here at Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our Cheadle Hulme office, and we offer hybrid working for flexibility. The main purpose of the role is to retain and grow an existing book of business for the surrounding areas, with a focus on growth. The book is made up of long-standing clients who have a strong relationship with us. You’ll be working closely with a team of dedicated and capable Account Handlers, who will support you in achieving the desired outcomes. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:
* Offering and presenting insurance solutions, including policies and risk management solutions, to secure renewals and new business. Regular communication with colleagues and managers to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions.
* Identifying and pursuing cross-selling, up-selling, and similar opportunities. Utilizing all leads provided and developing new, efficient ways to increase quote volume.
* Achieving or exceeding the agreed volume of quotes, sales, and income from all marketing sources, including personal prospecting activities.
* Understanding clients’ business operations, opportunities, risks, and their approach to risk management and insurance.
* Ensuring compliance with internal procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations such as FCA.
About you
As an Account Executive, you’ll inherit existing clients to look after and grow, in addition to developing your own connections. You’ll build and strengthen relationships through client visits and regular communication. You’ll have a passion for providing solutions and a flair for spotting opportunities that benefit clients. You should also have:
* Insurance industry experience, especially in Commercial insurance (essential)
* A passion and flair for new business (essential)
* An existing client base to bring and help grow the book (ideally)
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Great telephone manner and ability to network and build relationships
* Drive and a genuine passion to learn and develop within insurance and sales
* Experience working with insurers and clients in a similar role
* Good attention to detail and ability to multi-task, updating systems and admin
* Knowledge of Acturis system (preferably)
