What you’ll be doing:
Slough unfortunately has some of the lowest recycling rates in the country and we want to reverse this trend by increasing recycling rates across the borough.
Reporting to the Waste Minimisation Lead, the post of Recycling and Sustainability Officer, will be responsible for promoting recycling and sustainable practices to Slough residents and commercial businesses based in Slough.
This newly created role will be responsible for developing new waste and recycling initiatives and visiting community groups and key stakeholders to deliver educational and promotional campaigns to increase awareness of the need to improve recycling rates and minimise the production of waste.
You will also be responsible for the compilation of waste related data, producing reports for management and assisting in the development and delivery of a range of strategy and policy documents that address waste minimisation and sustainability.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your Director.

* 26 days annual leave (not including Bank holidays), rising to 30 days between 2 - 5 years’ service and 33 days after 5 years’ service.
