Key Responsibilities:
* Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Student Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with their learning and development.
* Behaviour Management: Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, managing behaviour effectively.
* Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources to support lesson plans.
* Administrative Tasks: Support the teacher with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and organising classroom activities.
* Supervision: Supervise students during break times, lunchtimes, and other activities as required.
* Individualised Support: Work with students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they receive the appropriate support and guidance.
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
* Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education or childcare is preferred but not essential.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents.
* Patience and Empathy: A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
* Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
* Safeguarding: A clear understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
* DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
