The Role:
St Philomena’s is seeking to appoint a dedicated and visionary Teacher of Mathematics to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to excel in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching to students of varying abilities, contributing not only to the department but to the general life of the school.
We are looking for a candidate with the professional presence ("gravitas") to inspire young people and the ability to drive positive outcomes in a flourishing department.

We are looking for a forward-thinking, inspirational teacher who is receptive to change and performs well under pressure. The successful candidate will:
Experience: Have a proven track record of teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, demonstrating a deep understanding of assessment strategies and curriculum requirements.
Curriculum Knowledge: Possess up-to-date knowledge of government-led changes and their impact on Mathematics courses and examinations.
Classroom Practice: Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to review, evaluate, and continuously improve their own teaching methods.
Technology: Confidently utilize ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with students, colleagues, and line managers quickly.
Teamwork: Be an enthusiastic team player who can also work independently to identify actions that lead to success.
