About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilledTechnicalLead to support a key customer in the aerospace industry, with a focus on heat exchange systems. This role requires a deep understanding of thermal systems, aerospace design standards, and the ability to lead multidisciplinaryengineeringteams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Work Experience
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primarytechnicalpoint of contact for the aerospace heat exchange customer, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.
* Lead cross-functionalengineeringteams (mechanical, thermal, materials, manufacturing) throughconcept development,detailed design, andproduct validation.
* Translate customer requirements intotechnical specificationsand oversee the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions.
* Manageengineeringdeliverables includingCADmodels, FEA/thermal analysis, drawings, DFMEAs,test plans, andcompliance documentation.
* Providetechnicaloversight onqualification testing, validation, and certification activities (e.g., DO-160, AS9100, FAA/EASA requirements).
* Collaborate withprogram management, quality assurance, and manufacturing to ensure program milestones and customer expectations are met.
* Identifytechnicalrisks early and implement mitigation strategies.
* Mentor and coach junior engineers to support talent development within the team.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors or Masters degree inMechanical Engineering,Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
* 7+ years of experience inaerospace engineering, with at least 3 years in atechnical leadershiprole.
* Proven experience in the design and development of aerospaceheat exchangersor thermal systems.
* Strong understanding of thermal/fluid dynamics,materials science, andmechanical designprinciples.
* Proficient inengineeringtools such asCATIA,SolidWorks, ANSYS,MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent.
* Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (ASME, AS9100, DO-160, etc.).
* Excellentproject management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with major aerospace OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
* Hands-on experience withadditive manufacturingor advanced materials used inheat exchangers.
* Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill).
* PMPor similarproject managementcertification.
