Protocol Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic SEND Teachers to work within a range of specialist schools, alternative provisions and SEND settings across Havering and Thurrock. We are working closely with supportive and well-established schools that cater for students with a variety of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD and complex learning difficulties.

As a SEND Teacher working through Protocol Education, you will:
Gain experience across a variety of SEND and specialist school settings
Develop your confidence supporting students with additional needs including ASD, SEMH and complex needs
Build strong behaviour management and communication skills
Work alongside experienced SENCOs, therapists and support staff
Deliver personalised and differentiated learning to meet EHCP outcomes
Develop your adaptability across different age groups and learning environments
Maintain flexibility and work-life balance through supply teaching
Strengthen your CV and increase opportunities for long-term and permanent roles within specialist education
Many of our SEND Teachers secure long-term or permanent roles in schools where they initially complete supply work.
To be considered for these SEND Teaching opportunities, you should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications
Experience working within SEND, SEMH or specialist education settings is desirable
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
Strong communication, behaviour management and relationship-building skills
A calm, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
A commitment to creating inclusive, nurturing and engaging learning environments for all students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
