Full Time Support Worker (Social Care) – Respite Home
We have opportunities available for a Full Time Support Worker (Social Care) to join our team at our respite home, providing care for all of our young people including personal care, bathing and showering, assistance with eating and drinking, tube feeding, administration of medication, cooking, cleaning and other activities as and when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support and personal care to our young adults.
* Maintain logs and records (on computer and written) and assist in the implementation of individual care programmes.
* Work with other professionals as necessary.
* Support our young people with emotional or behavioural needs and help to develop social skills.
* Ensure the home is clean and kept to a good standard during each shift.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience is advantageous although not essential as training will be provided. A good understanding of young people with varying disabilities is essential for this role. Candidates must have good English communication skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.
Compensation & Schedule
Rate of pay is subject to experience, starting at National Minimum Wage. Shifts are allocated on a rota basis. Contract times will be discussed but will be a minimum of 38 hours covering evenings, sleep shifts & weekends.
