New Line Learning Academy is seeking to appoint a passionate and ambitious Teacher of Design & Technology to join our Creative Arts faculty at an exciting point in its development.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a school that is launching a new, ambitious Creative Curriculum from September, with a clear focus on the Creative Arts as a driver for engagement, expression and achievement. We are looking for a teacher who is excited by this vision and wants to play a key role in shaping it.
The department currently delivers a broad and diverse curriculum, including:

2. Resistant Materials
3. Textiles
4. Food
5. Photography
6. Graphics
7. Digital Literacy
This breadth provides a rich platform to develop a truly creative, skills-based and knowledge-rich curriculum, where students can explore, design and create with purpose.

As a Teacher of Design & Technology, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that reflect these principles, ensuring all students are supported and stretched to achieve their best. You will have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum design, helping to shape an innovative and forward-thinking offer across the Creative subjects.
We are looking for a candidate who:
12. Has strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology or a related discipline
13. Is passionate about creative education and practical learning
14. Can inspire students to take pride in their work and outcomes
15. Is committed to high expectations and high-quality presentation
16. Is enthusiastic, adaptable and keen to contribute to a growing department
This role would suit both early career teachers and more experienced practitioners looking to be part of an exciting phase of development.
