We are seeking a Warehouse Team Leader who is passionate about safety and fostering an inclusive culture in a growing manufacturing business in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Working with a small team of 6-8 operatives, you will oversee goods in and out, coordinate receiving, picking, packing, dispatching, and maintain high standards of inventory control, productivity, and safety. This new role has been created due to significant investment and growth, with access to the latest technology in a newly opened facility at the start of 2025.
The role of a Warehouse Team Leader
* Supervise daily warehouse activities including inbound/outbound shipments, stock replenishment, and order fulfillment.
* Lead, coach, and motivate the team to meet performance targets.
* Ensure health and safety compliance and promote a clean, organized environment.
* Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
* Collaborate with procurement and customer service to resolve issues.
* Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
* Complete all warehouse documentation accurately.
* Train new staff and support ongoing development.
* Operate forklifts or other equipment as required.
Skills and Qualifications
* Typically 2+ years' experience in warehouse/distribution, supervisory experience preferred.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Forklift license (counterbalance, reach truck, or similar).
* Experience with lean warehousing or continuous improvement projects.
* Understanding of KPIs and performance metrics.
* Background in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.

* Salary of £33,000 per annum.
* Monday to Thursday 7am-4:30pm, Friday 7am-1pm.
