Job Opportunity: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?
We're looking for a dedicated and empathetic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support for four pupils in a school that values inclusion and individual progress.
About the Role
Pupils: Supporting four children with challenging behaviour, including two non-verbal students
Focus: Tailored academic and behavioural support, both in and out of the classroom
Goal: Help pupils move from part-time to full-time timetables, supporting both social and academic development
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualised academic and emotional support
Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Assist with skill-building in a structured, nurturing environment
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to achieve pupil goals
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and SEND, especially non-verbal pupils
Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques
Compassion, patience, adaptability, and resilience
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
