Job Description:
The Director, Product Portfolio Management is responsible for driving cohesive retail product portfolio execution across the Lending organization. This role oversees product roadmap governance, cross-functional alignment, and end-to-end readiness to ensure products deliver measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator who excels at connecting product, sales, customer support, and technology teams to ensure disciplined planning, transparent reporting, and successful execution.
This leader will also manage the PDM (Product Delivery Management) function and play a critical role in enabling organizational planning rituals including PI Planning, QBRs, MBRs, and cross-functional roadmap reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Governance & Planning
· Lead product roadmap governance, ensuring alignment to strategic goals, customer needs, and capacity constraints.
· Drive PI Planning, quarterly roadmap planning, and prioritization processes.
· Facilitate cross-product alignment across Product Heads, Technology, Operations, and Sales partners.
· Conduct quarterly roadmap alignment sessions with COO, CTO, CRO.
Program Oversight & Execution
· Provide program oversight for key strategic initiatives and special projects, ensuring milestones, risks, and outcomes are managed.
· Oversee the PDM team and associated processes, driving operational excellence in product delivery.
· Manage risk reporting for New and Materially Changed Products for each applicable release.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Go-to-Market
· Manage the GTM process for assigned products, partnering with Product Heads, Marketing, COO, and CRO to ensure cohesive and timely launches.
· Ensure end-to-end readiness for both internal stakeholders and client-facing teams.
· Align product strategy and outcomes across CRO, COO, CPO, and CTO organizations.
Operational Excellence
· Develop, maintain, and enforce Product Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Drive process improvements to strengthen transparency, planning rigor, and cross-functional engagement.
· Establish repeatable rhythms for portfolio reviews, risk assessment, and performance tracking.
Qualifications
Required
* 7+ years in Product Management, Product Operations, Program Management, or Portfolio Management.
* Proven experience leading cross-functional product planning and governance processes.
* Strong understanding of agile delivery, PI Planning, and product lifecycle management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
* Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
* Experience in financial services, payments, or technology-driven product organizations.
* Background working with C-Suite leaders and supporting enterprise-level strategic reporting.
* Experience managing product operations, program management, or product delivery teams.
