This is a role working for a global household business owning many well-known brands. They seek an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
The role reports to the Head of Category Management and involves managing key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies and ensure performance, including annual savings
* Develop category plans to align with the group and support local offices
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders, utilizing strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders and monitor supplier performance
* Manage supplier risks through reporting and feedback
* Promote procurement values and deliver high standards
* Ensure service quality and cost efficiency through strategic projects
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex businesses
* Preferred categories: Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics & Operations
* Private sector procurement experience, ideally globally
* Experience with global projects and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers
* Ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions
* Strategic approach to procurement and supplier management
* Excellent communication skills across cultures
* Adaptability in fast-paced environments
* MCIPS qualification is advantageous but not essential
