The Role
Make a Difference Support Resettlement and Integration in Bolton

We’re looking for a motivated, organised individual with strong communication skills to join our Resettlement & Immigration Projects Team as a Housing Options Officer. You’ll support newly arrived individuals and families with housing needs, helping them access essential services such as healthcare, education, and employment.

The role promotes integration and wellbeing through tailored support and community engagement. You’ll work closely with partners and stakeholders, maintain accurate records, and contribute to programme outcomes. This is a rewarding opportunity to help people rebuild their lives and thrive in Bolton.

About You
Although this is a Housing Officer role, its scope is much wider. With support from the Programme Manager, you’ll deliver holistic support to help newly settled individuals and families in Bolton integrate and build independence, through access to housing, healthcare, education, employment, and community life.

You'll work closely with partners to ensure tailored support and may apply relevant legislation or local guidance as needed. The role requires autonomy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload.

While direct refugee experience isn’t essential, knowledge of housing, approaches to prevent homelessness, or experience supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes is highly beneficial.

About Us
This is your opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we have strong ambitions for the borough.

Bolton is a great place to work. We are a welcoming organisation that wants to contribute to a place where people feel active, connected and prosperous. We are passionate about improving the outcomes and experience of Bolton people. We want Bolton to be a vibrant place built on strong cohesive communities, successful businesses and healthy, engaged residents.

In addition, we offer a generous annual leave allowance, flexible work opportunities, access to a Pension Scheme, as well as a range of employee wellbeing and support services.

Our Values are really important to us, read all about them below, along with all our great staff benefits, the job description/person specification for the role and the important legal bits, and our Top Tips too.

Ready to apply? Then please click Apply and upload your anonymised CV and supporting statement discussing your relevant skills and experience and explain how you believe they make you a strong fit for this role.
