JOIN US as a Procurement Manager based at our Shepshed manufacturing facility, and we can offer you an opportunity to work in a high-tech, specialist company working with some of the best global names in aerospace, medical, semiconductor and clean energy. The objective of this role is to manage the Purchasing team and provide leadership relating to all aspects of the planning, execution and reporting of Winbro Group Technologies purchasing activity in all locations. You will develop the strategic and end-to-end process of sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring goods or services, focusing on long-term value and risk management. You will create strategic vendor partnerships, negotiate complex contracts, and source new materials to reduce business risks. You will also operate in a proactive and strategic manner (evaluating vendor, negotiating contracts), aiming for optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) and value. Principal duties & responsibilities: Direct management of Winbro purchasing teams and achievement of global supply chain quality, cost and delivery targets. End to end Purchasing process management including MRP, order placement, expediting and ECN implementation. Functional responsibility for Purchasing personnel and activity in all Winbro Group locations. Global supply chain management in line with business strategic objectives. Sourcing in support of R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Material status and supply chain performance reporting. Supplier management process, risk analysis and KPI reporting & analysis. Monitor external supply chain performance and support improvement plans with the responsible parties. Supplier global contract negotiation. Ensuring regulatory compliance with Industry Standards and Import/Export controls. Creation and ownership of supply chain business continuity plans. Identifying, leading and delivering supply chain cost reduction activity. Building strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders and lead for Purchasing in collaboration projects. Develop supply chain capability in line with Strategic Sourcing direction. Purchasing T&Cs. Requirements With a Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent, the successful candidate will have 5 years’ experience within a purchasing environment, with experience working with complex, multi-level engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering drawings in a manufacturing setting. Aerospace or automotive industry experience would be advantageous. You will have a demonstrable record of success within an environment of continuous improvement. In addition, we would like to see applications which show us clear experience of supplier contract negotiation operating across continents in a multiple site type business, experience of leading supply chain improvement projects and teams, experience of managing and developing commercially and/or technically focussed teams and finally a proven track record of leading and delivering supply chain cost reduction projects.
