A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a major international fintech business looking for a Legal Counsel to join its expanding EMEA legal team. This is an excellent role for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working closely with fast‑moving business teams.
The Role
As Legal Counsel, you’ll support multiple business lines across the UK and wider EMEA region, providing pragmatic, business‑focused legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters. You will:
* Draft, negotiate and advise on a variety of commercial contracts and legal documents
* Support bids, tenders and new business opportunities
* Work closely with product and integration teams on new products and acquisitions
* Identify risks, improve processes, and promote best‑practice governance
* Build strong internal and external networks across global teams
* Contribute to commercial advantage by embedding strong contract frameworks
* Drive efficiencies through modern legal technology and continuous improvement
About You
We’re looking for a lawyer who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative and tech‑forward environment:
* UK‑qualified solicitor with 1–5 years PQE
* Solid grounding in commercial contracts and risk management
* Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex issues clearly
* Commercially sharp with good business acumen
* Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
* Interest in technology, AI, and emerging legal tools
* Knowledge of data protection
