Panel wirer

We are currently looking for Panel Wirer's / Production Technicians, on a Permanent contract who have experience operating to aerospace and defence standards for our client in Cheshire.

The company manufacture a wide range of products including Satellite Communication, Power Management Control, Surveillance and Counter-IED equipment’s. Manufacturing and test skills employed include electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, panel / cabinet wiring and testing of the final built assemblies.

These roles are based at in a secure manufacturing facility in SK12 Cheshire and if you have Prototype Wiring experience or Time-Served Apprenticeship, this is desirable but not essential.

This role is on a full time, Permanent contract, working 37 hours flexitime across 4.5 days per week eg 7am to 3.30pm or 7.30am to 4.00pm and 5 hours Friday mornings.

The role will involve:

• Complex cabinet/rack/box wiring using 22awg – 10awg cable/wire across Power, Data and RF functionalities.
• Use of various types of handheld crimp tools.
• Creation, routing and securing of multi cable/wire harnesses and looms.
• The termination of various connector types such as – Multi-pin, 68999, RF, data, power and single wires, crimped and soldered.
• Development of first off units and cabling.

For this role you will need:

• The ability to understand, interpret and work in accordance with Engineering drawings, wiring schedules, wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and bespoke customer supplied assembly information.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in cabinet/rack/box wiring.
• IPC J-STD Certified would be a distinct advantage.
